OUR MUMU DON DO: PEOPLE OF IYEDE REJECT N300,000 BRIBE FROM DELTA COMMISSIONER OF HOUSING, ARCH. OGEH FOR POOR REPRESENTATION IN GOVT.

Secret Reporters

In what was an unprecedented rejection, the people of Iyede on Sunday, 26th November 2017 unanimously rejected the Commissioner for Housing, Arch J.A.Ogeh following his poor representation as a former commissioner and also as a serving commissioner.

The Nigerian political space has always been littered with news of misrepresentation by elected leaders and yet, nobody has been able to take a stand against them. This move by the people of Iyede has surely sent a message that it will not be business as usual for its leaders.

The meeting which took place in the commissioner’s country home was attended by stakeholders from the area. The commissioner, while trying to appease the people, presented N300,000 for “kola nut” which was roundly rejected on grounds of misrepresentation by the commissioner.

The people blamed the commissioner for failing to attract any government presence to Iyede community and pointed at the bad state of the Iyede road as an example and failure to attract any meaningful project to the community.

The people made it clear to the commissioner that it’ll not be business as usual where they’re deceived with money to mortgage their future and that of their children at the expense of much needed development.
