A very dependable source who just returned from London where he paid a visit to former Delta State Governor, James Onanefe Ibori has confirmed to us that the much headline news of Sir Anthony Obuh emerging as the next governor of Delta State will never see the daylight.

Speaking authoritatively to us, he revealed that the political warlord is set for a showdown with his maternal cousin, Emmanuel Uduaghan for bringing up Obuh in the political equation of the State when there are other tested hands who stood by him during his travails.
We had earlier reported that Obuh was taken to London by the governor Senior Special Adviser on Political Matters, Ighoyota Amori for introduction, but we reliably gathered that the governor who shares the same cell house with one Julius Onyinyechukwu Owali refused to come out to see him, which made them disappointed, but they have refused to tell Uduaghan their fruitless effort, thus giving him hope that his political benefactor is in support of his choice.
Ibori who will be the major decider of the 2015 election we learnt is disposed between a frontline for the guber candidate of Anioma extraction, who is currently a serving Senator and a Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege. According to our source, the governor has sent words to his political loyalist, Ayiri Emami to stop every funding of the Obuh campaign as well as withdraw himself from him. This directive we can report made him stay away from the first outing of Obuh when he visited the Ijaw leader, Edwin Clark.
Our source further revealed that rather than have Obuh as a governor, Ibori would rather let Mrs Patience Jonathan have her way in installing Dr Ngozi Olejeme as the first elected female governor. According to him, Obuh is not a member of his political family and it will amount to betrayal for them to bring him into the race when better and trusted hands who have served him are available.

Authentic information made available to us from the stable of Delta State government is that the governor, Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan has finalized plans to install the next governor of Delta State.
This plot according to one of our sources was hatched with the connivance of the Deputy Governor, Amos Utuama, who infiltrated the apex body of the Delta Central District, the Urhobo Progressive Union. It was revealed to us that Uduaghan tasked Utuama to make sure that the UPU project a weak candidate in an opposition party.

The UPU meeting which held in March we authoritatively gathered was convened in Uvwiamuge by Utuama, where the union was asked to tell all Urhobo governorship aspirants to align with either the People Democratic Party (PDP) or the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Following the pronouncement of the statement by the UPU, our insider in the Dennis Osadebey House squealed to us that Uduaghan has chosen a candidate from the Delta North (whose name we will not reveal for editorial purposes) to be PDP flag bearer, while another candidate from the Delta Central (again, we have kept the name private) will fly the APC flag. This APC candidate who will be weak we gathered will only be a puppet in the hands the governor, to deliver his own votes for the PDP.
A source who is a strong ally of the UPU leadership told us that veteran governorship aspirant, Great Ovedje Ogboru who can give the PDP a run for their money and political savvy will never be considered as the UPU choice, so as not to jeopardize the governor’s mission.

The fraud in Delta State reached a crescendo last week when the State Governor sent a letter to the Delta State House of Assembly asking them to screen some board members whom he had already sworn in on September 5th.
In a letter titled “Request For Confirmation Of Nomination Of Chairmen And Members Of Certain Boards” personally signed the Governor, had in it list of  nominees to be screened for appointment into the Delta State Tourism Board, Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri; Delta Broadcasting Service, Asaba, and Delta State Rural Development Agency and other boards. Their names are , Efe Afe, Peter Okolotu, Hyacinth Iyere, James Youmu, Amah Agbajoh, Abel Eyube and Joe
“The letter which read “In accordance with the powers conferred on you by the laws establishing the [agencies] and the respective boards, I am to request you to place the names of the nominees before the honorable members of the Delta State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation as appropriate”, we have found out to be illegal and unconstitutional, as he was supposed to have sent then for screening before inaugurating them.
The board members who the governor sworn in with all vested authorities has begun the collection of millions of naira to run the boards before it dawned on him that the names should be sent, following outcry by some well meaning Deltans. A reliable source within the lawmakers told our reporter that the screening is just formality, with few theatrics that will be done, as the Governor has mandated to screen all the nominees and give them pass mark.
One of the nominees, James Youmu had died two years. Sources in the state government stated that the governor is aware, but has deliberately sent his name while he siphons the money meant for the dead man.
When contacted on phone by our reporter last week when we got the information, the S.A to the Commissioner for Information, Pius Mordi asked us to stop publication, promising to get back to us on Monday, which he never did.
